Teddy's story

When Peter Purves's Wirehaired Dachshund Teddy was admitted to the AHT he could not walk on his back legs at all.

A full neurological examination and MRI scans were performed, confirming Teddy had a herniated disc and compression of the spinal cord. Surgery was chosen as the best option to correct the damage and give Teddy the best chance of a full recovery.

Watch Teddy's story in the AHT's YouTube video below.

The Dachshund Breed Council works closely with researchers at the AHT and we are grateful to them for their continuing support. To help them continue their vital research which helps animals all over the world benefit from improved diagnosis, treatments and, where possible, techniques to prevent disease and injury occurring in the first place, go to: www.aht.org.uk/donate
